Club News

Only a few WSX members ventured out last weekend to events. Peter Suba represented the club at the Southern Night Championships in Penn Wood, and came an excellent 2nd place on M40. He also went to the level C event the next day, also in Penn Wood,  and came 11th on Brown. Well done, Peter.

The Medlock family went across to the Forest of Dean on the Sunday, as did Rob Hick, for the BOK Galoppen at Brierley. The outstanding result was, once again, Lyra who won the Orange by over 11 minutes! Excellent.

This coming weekend is the SOC event at Islands Thorns Inclosure, near Fritham. I’m the Controller and can vouch for the fact that it’s a lovely area with some beautiful runnable beech woods as well as open heathland. But you’re almost guaranteed to get your feet wet at some point! There are plenty of maps available, so even if you haven’t entered, you’ll get a run on the day.

On Monday we have our Night League event at Hillbourne, Broadstone and Peter Suba has once again come up with a cunning format! Something about spider’s webs…..

For all details of local events in the coming months, see the downloadable file in the sidebar of the Upcoming Events page.

Included on that list is, of course, the famous Boxing Day Canter – now taking entries on Fabian4.
