A lovely event at Anderwood on Saturday, organised by SOC, saw a few WSX members participating. Although it was a Level D event – i.e. informal, limited courses – I thought the Green course was pretty challenging, especially as there were 18 controls! It was made worse for me by the fact that I virtually hobbled round the last half of the course due to hip-muscle problems (it’s my age, you know) My position, 8th from bottom, reflected this. But Tim Houlder had a good run (4th) and Andy Eydman, whose first event in the forest was at the Compass Sport Trophy (see his Post), came a creditable 23rd and within the Green Standard. I also noticed that Tim’s son, Andrew, won the Light Green as an Independent. Rebecca Franks cam 3rd on Orange. So well done to everyone.
The upcoming local events can be found here.
But don’t forget to check out Fabian4 for non-local events: for instance, the Chiltern Challenge on April 9th or the BOK Blast City of Bristol Urban Races on June 10th/11th.
