Just about tidied and cleaned up after our event on Sunday, which turned out to be a splendid day, weather-wise (apart from a mini snow blizzard at one point!).  Even only having one toilet (due to error on the Brandon Hire’s part) didn’t seem to cause too much problem. As usual, every WSX helper played their role superbly, and I’d like to thank Roger, in particular, for organising everything with quite a small number of people available.

A special thanks also to Peter, Graham, Jason, Rob, Dale, John, Roger, James and Carolyn Dent (BOK) for putting out and/or collecting in the controls. MUCH appreciated. And thanks to the Medlock family for putting on the String course.

As to the results: Esk came 2nd on White; Lyra 1st Orange; Neo Phoenix (one of our newest members and first time on a non-urban course) 6th Light Green; Jolyon 4th Blue; Graham 6th and Peter 7th on Brown (although they were non-competitive).

Last Friday, a few of us went to the WIM Night League event in Gillingham. The only event I’ve ever been to that incorporated a fire-breathing dragon at one of the controls! It was a really well-planned event as no-one achieved maximum points. James came 3rd, followed closely by John in 4th (who didn’t see the 3 metre tall dragon!), Roger 7th, Peter 9th and Rob just outside the top 10 in 11th.

Don’t forget the WIM event this coming weekend. Still open on fabian4 – but may be closing soon.
