How about setting a New Years Resolution to get to know your club mates better? One of the best way to do this is to attend the major events. Below are the dates for the major events for the first half of 2022 and how to enter the individual races (Relay race entry details will follow when entries open) – put the dates into your diaries and get your entries in early to make sure you get the cheapest entry fees.
CompassSport Heat – Ramscombe (QO) – Sunday 13th Feb 2022

WSX will be competing in the CompassSport Trophy Heat on the 13th Feb 2022 at Ramscombe near Nether Stowey.  We will need as many of you as possible to come and compete for your club – so please book out the date. Entry details will be released soon, and James will send them out when he gets them from the organisers. British Night Championships Weekend – Ilkley Moor – 19th/20th Feb 2022

The British Night Championshipswill take place on the evening of Saturday 19th February 2022 on the heart of Ilkley Moor.
There will be a companion long-distance event as part of the UKOL using Ilkley and Burley Moors on Sunday 20th February 2022.

British Middle Distance Weekend – Rushmere Country Park – 5th/6th Mar 2022

The British Middle Distance Championships will take place on Sunday 6th March 2022 at Rushmere Country Park near Leighton Buzzard.  There is a linked event as part of the UKOL taking place at Salcey Forest on Saturday 5th March.

British Long Distance Weekend – Liphook – 26th/27th Mar 2022

The British Individual Long and Relay championships 2022 will take place near Liphook on the weekend of the 26th and 26th March 2022. Entries are open for the Long distance race via Fabian4.  Further details on Relay Team classes and entries will be released soon, and Jolyon will send out them out via a separate email.

Jan Kjellström International Festival of Orienteering 2022 – South Wales – 15th to 18th Apr 2022

The four days of orienteering are great fun with a Sprint / Middle / Long and Relay race.  Early entries for the individual races are recommended to get the cheapest fees and are open via SIEntries.  Jolyon will be organising entries for the Relays closer to the date – so watch out for an email with details.
