Lots of events to report on, here is a summary:

WSX Club Championships

Last weekend many of us attended the November Classic at the new area of New Park in the New Forest, organised by SOC.

There were some very good runs by many of our members, with the best results:

Jon Brooke 2nd/41 on M55

Gavin Clegg 1st/49 on M65

Ian Sayer 5th/39 on M70

Esk Medlock 3rd/10 on W14

Lyra Medlock 1st/13 on W18

Rebecca Medlock 9th/18 on W45

Tina Stratford 8th/16 on W50

Nicola Brooke 2nd/41 on W55

James has applied his age-graded scoring system and the WSX champions (one again) are Gavin and Lyra, huge congratulations to them both.

Other events:

Friars Cliff (5th Nov) – a big thank you to Rob for organising, Ian for planning and all the WSX members that helped on the day. James finished 7th on Course 1, Jolyon 9th on course 2, John C 5th on course 4, Esk 2nd on course 6.

Esher Common (30th Oct) – this was the first of the three England selection events for the junior squad for Interland. Esk had an excellent result coming first on W14. Lyra, running up, won W18, but she won’t be eligible for England this year, having run for GB in 2022.

Micheldever woods (23rd Oct) and Wendover woods (16th Oct): a small number of members attended with Lyra coming in the top 3 of two competitive fields on Blue.

Out of 2645 competitors. Joint 1st overall and 1st W16 was Lyra
